Irlam Glass Guarantees
FENSA
FENSA stands for the Fenestration Self-Assessment Scheme. It has been set up by the Glass and Glazing Federation (GGF), with Government approval, in response to the new Building Regulations for England and Wales.
From 1 April 2002 all replacement glazing in dwellings came within the scope of the Building Regulations. From then on, anyone who installed replacement windows or doors had to comply with improved thermal performance standards.
When having their windows and doors replaced from this date homeowners should ensure that they get a certificate form Local Authority Building Control or have the work completed by a FENSA Registered Company - like Irlam Glass.
Guarantee
Irlam Glass is a member of the UK Trades Confederation which means we are able to offer you peace of mind with their Insurance Backed Guarantee scheme. The main points of the scheme cover are:
- 10 years cover
- Cessation of trade for any reason
- Covers the FULL contract value on ALL contracts.
- Commercial Guarantees
- Underwritten by Guarantee Protection Insurance Company Ltd
- Approved by Councils, Local Authorities and Housing Associations
Plus the policy will pay the customers claims for the costs incurred in making good any defective workmanship and faulty materials in cases where the installer has failed financially and is not able to honour his own guarantee.
Indemnity is free of excess and claims are settled without a contribution from the customer.
